“Water molecule splitting is not used in agriculture and industry” says CEO, Inventor of Aqutonix

“Water is used in almost all industries, but it is becoming a scarce resource. This is why water treatment technology that studies ways to improve the productivity of limited water resources is attracting attention as a future industry.

As the world water market is expected to grow rapidly by 2025 to 1066 trillion won, it is pointed out that the domestic water industry should increase its share of less than 2% of the global market. The domestic water industry is largely dominated by conglomerates focused on construction and construction industry, and there is no water specialist company, and it is a diagnosis that the foundation for overseas expansion is weak.

BLH Aqua Technology is a rare start-up based on water treatment technology in this domestic reality. The company has developed the Aqutonix, a water treatment equipment for agriculture and industry, which applies a technique of splitting and splitting a strongly condensed water molecule cluster by applying electric currents and has recently won victories in domestic and overseas start-up demo days.

Aqutonix was first developed for agricultural use after three years of development. Hong and his colleagues developed a device that could capture the stress of crops and increase the efficiency of photosynthesis by helping to absorb moisture in the process of photosynthesis of crops and to widely use them in agriculture. “With more than 20 different crops tested, we have been able to increase photosynthetic efficiency by about 10 percent and increase agricultural productivity by an average of 20 to 25 percent,” he said. “In the future, Aqutonix will be a basic facility for improving the productivity of all crops,” he said.

Aqutonix is now spreading to domestic and American farms. In the US market, direct exports are made through local unions, and there are no middlemen, and there are many large farmers, so the future is more promising. Only about 1,500 farmers from local agricultural associations and 1,000 farmers from each union are potential customers. Hong said, “It will be supplied to 300 farms out of 20,000 agricultural farms joined by more than 20 agriculture unions in the US, and 3 billion won will be exported until the first half of the next year.” In the second half of this year, And it is expected that the supply will become full-scale after it is made. ”

Recently, the company has developed the Aqutonix for seawater desalination by applying the same principle. The product is mainly applied to seawater desalination plants using reverse osmosis (RO) filters. When the seawater is passed through the filter at the pressure of the seawater, only the salinity is removed and only the fresh water is left. With the use of the Aqutonix in the pretreatment of the RO filter, the water molecules can pass through the filter more easily and can produce the fresh water with energy efficiency. The production cost is saved by more than 5%. Aqutonix for seawater desalination is expected to generate profits from next year.

Hong said, “Aqutonix is a technology that can be used in most industries that use water.” He said, “In the construction industry, which requires chemical reactions between cement and water as well as agriculture, most of the electronic materials and semiconductor manufacturing processes The range is endless. ”
